Recently, Shandong Steel's newly customized 216 single-tooth track steel, developed for a leading domestic construction machinery company, successfully completed its first trial rolling on the special-shaped production line of its section steel plant. This further enhances Shandong Steel's one-stop supply service capability for steel used in construction machinery.
Single-tooth track steel is a track steel variety with high hot-rolling difficulty, widely used in heavy equipment such as high-power bulldozers. There are only a handful of domestic manufacturers producing it. Shandong Steel's production, sales, and R&D teams visited users to understand their needs and conducted targeted R&D and design, achieving technological breakthroughs and product upgrades. During the production and R&D process, the section steel plant's technical team continuously optimized the heat treatment process, formulated meticulous rolling plans and operating specifications, and implemented precise control over rolling temperature and speed, successfully solving control problems such as tooth height, plate width, and plate thickness, ensuring that key product indicators meet user requirements. Previously, Shandong Steel had successfully developed several new single-tooth track steel products, including 228, 280, and 317, meeting the customized needs of downstream users for high-end steel products.
The successful trial rolling further enhances the market competitiveness of Shandong Iron & Steel's track steel. The mass production of this product will help downstream users reduce equipment maintenance costs, improve operational efficiency, and provide strong support for the reliable operation of heavy machinery under complex working conditions.
