According to data released by China's National Bureau of Statistics, in August, China's crude steel output reached 77.37 million tons, down 0.7% year-on-year; pig iron output reached 69.79 million tons, up 1.0% year-on-year; and steel product output reached 122.77 million tons, up 9.7% year-on-year.

　　In the first eight months of this year, China's crude steel output reached 671.81 million tons, down 2.8% year-on-year; pig iron output reached 579.07 million tons, down 1.1% year-on-year; and steel product output reached 982.17 million tons, up 5.5% year-on-year.
