In March, China imported 512,000 tons of steel, an increase of 143,000 tons, or 38.8%, compared to the previous month. From January to March, China's cumulative steel imports reached 1.339 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 14.1%.
In March, China imported 104.743 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, an increase of 7.375 million tons, or 7.6%, compared to the previous month. From January to March, China imported 314.762 million tons of iron ore and its concentrates, a year-on-year increase of 10.5%.
In March, China imported 2.63 million tons of copper ore and its concentrates, an increase of 320,000 tons, or 13.9%, compared to the previous month. From January to March, China imported 7.563 million tons of copper ore and its concentrates, a year-on-year increase of 6.6%.
In March, China imported 39.059 million tons of coal and lignite, an increase of 8.116 million tons, or 26.2%, compared to the previous month; China's cumulative imports of coal and lignite from January to March reached 116.279 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 1.3%.
