On August 3, under the on-site command of Cheng Guanjiang, member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of Henan Iron and Steel Group, deputy general manager, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of Anyang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd., Anyang Iron and Steel's Second Melting and Rolling Operation Department successfully completed the smelting and casting of Mn25 high manganese steel for the first time.
Building on the successful and stable production of Mn13 high-manganese wear-resistant steel, the Anyang base has set its sights on the development and production of the more challenging Mn25 high-manganese steel. Compared to Mn13, Mn25 is significantly more challenging in terms of molten steel smelting and casting. Its production process places particularly stringent demands on equipment, processes, and operations, making its development and production a formidable undertaking.
To ensure the smooth completion of the Mn25 high-manganese steel production task, the company's leadership attached great importance to the task, and relevant departments provided strong support. The Secondary Steelmaking and Rolling Department held several special meetings to conduct an in-depth analysis of the characteristics of Mn25 high-manganese steel and the difficulties encountered during production. In light of the characteristics of this steel grade, the department, incorporating the unique capabilities of its own process equipment, meticulously compiled and repeatedly revised key operational procedures.
