Recently, Jingye Group's First Steelmaking Division focused on the high-end steel market demand, and successfully produced acid-resistant steel Q355NS-XS by leveraging technological breakthroughs and lean management.
Acid-resistant steel is a special metal material with the characteristics of high resistance to corrosion in acidic environments, high strength and elongation, good weldability, and long life. It is usually used to manufacture chemical industrial equipment, pipelines, storage tanks and containers, and is widely used in the chemical industry, petrochemical industry, food and medicine industries.
As a typical acid-resistant steel, Q355NS-XS needs to meet the requirements of high strength, high corrosion resistance, and good welding performance. The production process has extremely high requirements for the raw materials entering the furnace, composition control, and temperature regulation. To ensure smooth production, the steel mill planned ahead and implemented precise policies, carried out multiple rounds of simulation calculations on the ratio of corrosion-resistant elements such as Cr, Cu, and Ni in steel, and formulated an exclusive smelting formula; at the same time, it optimized the composition of the LF refining slag system, reduced the oxygen content of molten steel, and improved the corrosion resistance of steel from the source. On this basis, the steel plant strictly controlled each link in the three major processes of smelting, refining and continuous casting, and finally successfully produced acid-resistant steel Q355NS-XS.
It is worth mentioning that the first batch of this steel product has passed the Kaiping processing of Jingye Special Purpose Vehicle and was successfully shipped to Henan customers. Customer feedback: "The shape and surface quality of the steel plate after Kaiping are both good. We are very satisfied with the one-stop service provided by Jingye!" The successful production of Q355NS-XS acid-resistant steel not only laid a solid foundation for the group to expand the application field of acid-resistant steel but also became a vivid practice of Jingye Group's transformation into a manufacturing service industry.
