Recently, Jingye Group has successfully developed the extreme specification Q460MC-Si high-strength steel, and the development of steel varieties has reached a new level.
Low-alloy high-strength steel is widely used in various engineering structures. It has excellent comprehensive mechanical properties and welding performance and relatively low production costs, so it has a broad market and application prospects.
The development of Q460MC-Si was led by the Group's Technical Research Center, which was discussed by the Production Department, the Second Steelmaking Division, the Hot Rolled Plate & Coil Division and other units. The research focused on several core links: composition design that meets carbon equivalent and welding crack sensitivity, precise control of narrow steelmaking components, temperature control during the steel rolling process, and plate shape control during extreme specification production. During the development process, the Production Department carefully organized production scheduling, the Technical Research Center designed and tracked the entire process, and the steelmaking and rolling production plants worked together to successfully develop Q460MC-Si high-strength steel.
The successful development of this variety of steel marks the Jingye Group's low alloy high-strength steel development strength grade reaching 460MPa level, and the limit production specification has been reduced to 1.8mm thickness, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent development of higher-specification hot-rolled coil products.
