High-grade non-oriented silicon steel has high magnetic polarization intensity and low iron loss, which helps to reduce losses in the energy conversion process and improve equipment operating efficiency. At the same time, it also has excellent mechanical strength and resistance to shear magnetic degradation, which can ensure stable performance under complex working conditions. As a core material for electrical equipment such as motors and transformers, high-grade non-oriented silicon steel is rapidly expanding its application to high-end manufacturing industries and emerging fields such as new energy vehicles, industrial motors, home appliances, drones, and robots. The two types of high-grade non-oriented silicon steel produced in this large-scale continuous production are recognized as top-tier products in the industry. They are used in motors for new energy vehicles and have extremely high requirements for composition control and billet purity. The product has a unique composition system and magnetic property requirements, a complex production process, and is extremely difficult to smelt, making it the most challenging type of steel to develop to date. To ensure successful smelting, the rare earth steel plate plant repeatedly demonstrated, simulated, and experimented with each process step, formulated process control plans, and provided full-process tracking and guidance, achieving for the first time a complete hit of the key components of carbon, sulfur, and titanium in this type of product. At the same time, it improved the production efficiency of the RH furnace, achieved furnace-machine matching and quick tundish changeover, broke through production bottlenecks, and realized stable continuous casting production.
