Recently, Shandong Steel won a bid for a storage tank project at a large oil refinery in Algeria. Shandong Steel will provide nearly 7,000 tons of high-end American standard cryogenic container steel plates for the project, further enhancing the international influence of Shandong Steel's heavy plate products.
This project is a key project in Algeria's national energy strategy. Shandong Steel Group's Marketing Department noticed the project information and listed it as a key overseas project to track. The production, sales, and research teams got involved in advance and made multiple visits to the project's construction units and design institutes to conduct technical exchanges, accurately meet the project's needs, and have in-depth communication on material performance, technical indicators, and delivery cycle.
During multiple rounds of bidding, the Shandong Steel team carefully analyzed the bidding documents and tailored a supply plan to meet the user's requirements. Nearly 70% of the order consists of thin products with a thickness of 10 mm or less, which have extremely high requirements for rolling stability, shape control, and surface quality. Shandong Steel fully leverages the advantages of its 3500mm hot roll mill production line in thin-gauge, high-precision rolling, and meets customer needs by optimizing processes and refining rolling procedures. The marketing headquarters launched a special supply guarantee mechanism, opening up a green channel for the entire process from order review, production organization, quality control, to logistics and shipment, to ensure the timely delivery of orders.
