On October 9, the Second Melting and Rolling Operation Department of Anyang Steel successfully completed the full process of smelting and rolling of X120Mn12 and Mn15Cr1 high manganese wear-resistant steels. All performance indicators of the finished products met the standards. The high manganese steel product family added a "new member", injecting new vitality into the advanced steel material product matrix.
The smelting of this high manganese wear-resistant steel began on October 8. From production preparation to molten steel smelting to rolling and forming, during the double holidays, the leading cadres always stayed on site and commanded from the front. With a sense of responsibility that was always on their mind, they coordinated and solved production problems, laying a solid guarantee for the stable and smooth production of high manganese steel.
As the "newcomer" in the high manganese steel family, X120Mn12 and Mn15Cr1 high manganese wear-resistant steels have a manganese content of up to 12% and 15% respectively. They have both high strength "hard power" and high wear resistance "good temper". With their excellent wear resistance and high strength, they are widely used in mining machinery, metallurgical equipment, railway engineering and other fields. In order to ensure the smooth debut of the "new member", the Second Steelmaking and Rolling Operation Department formed a special research group to repeatedly polish the production plan. The smelting process optimizes the feeding mode and strengthens temperature control. The continuous casting process optimizes the weak cooling control technology to effectively reduce the shrinkage of the continuous casting billet.
